The Peter Ulrich Collaboration
The Painted Caravan
This project began in 2008 when City Canyons chief Trebor Lloyd asked me to arrange a song he had written called Hanging Man which would be sung by another of his artists, Sara Wendt. Initially it was to be a one-off single, but we had set in motion a process which mushroomed to involve dozens of contributors - mostly from Trebor's circle in New York - and a broad palette of instruments. Trebor and I remained the core contributors to every track, and we badged the project a 'Collaboration' under my name. This first album was released in 2013.

Tempus Fugitives

Under Trebor's restless driving force, we kept writing and recording songs, incorporating an ever-growing pool of collaborators. One of these was singer/harpist Erin Hill who wrote and led the song Dark Daddy for which we commissioned a cartoon video by Polish arthouse Dodo4story. This second album of the project was released in 2015 to coincide with our one and only live performance at New York's famous old Webster Hall featuring a 17 piece band!
Final Reflections

At some midway point in the project, we decided that we would make it a trilogy of albums. This third album, released in 2019, comprised eight new songs, then concluded with remixes of the project's first two songs from a decade earlier - our 'final reflections'.
